Roatan, Honduras

Located in Honduras, Central America, the island of Roatan, along with Utila and Guanaja conform the 3 Bay Islands in the heart of the Caribbean, being Roatan the most extensive with 30 square miles, its population of 17,000 offer the visitors different fun activities such as scuba diving, snorkeling, fishing, dolphin encounter, white-sand beaches with clear waters and spectacular sunsets.

Oficial language in Roatan is spanish, however most of the locals speak very good english.

Weather in Roatan is mainly tropical, with an annual average of 27^oC.

Transport
The only ways to get to Roatan are by sea or by plane with an international airport with direct flights from Miami, Dallas, Houston, San Salvador, Toronto and connecting flights from Tegucigalpa (Country's Capital) or San Pedro Sula.

You can also reach the island by sea from La Ceiba via ferry.
